# Doory: managed website reference Doory's positioning: Doory manages the online systems your business depends on—your website, domain, business email, security, and ongoing support. The supporting tagline is "A simpler door to the web." Doory is run by Jeff Kershner, who has spent more than twenty years in web development and hosting, including work for some of the largest hosting companies in the world. It is a boutique, founder-led managed service — not a discount host, and not a broad onsite IT help desk. The target customer is a small business, typically owner-operated, that wants its website, domain, and business email looked after by one accountable person rather than managed across several accounts nobody is responsible for. ## What "managed" means here Doory builds the site and then keeps it running: deployment, certificates, the domain and its DNS records, business email setup and deliverability, the contact form, monitoring, backups with a tested restore, security patching, and support from a named person. It does NOT mean a shared-hosting account with storage, bandwidth, database, mailbox, control panel, or one-click application quotas. There is nothing to log into and no resource tier to outgrow. ## Pricing Every plan is a one-time build fee plus a flat monthly fee. The build fee varies with how much site there is to build, so it is quoted as a starting figure and fixed before work begins. The monthly fee is stated and does not move. No plan carries an annual commitment, and there is no discount mechanism that trades a lower build fee for a longer contract. ### Presence A professional site that stays up, with someone to call when it does not. - Build and launch: from $1,500 - Monthly: $39 per month - Content changes: Hourly, or prepaid blocks - Response target: 2 business days - Reporting: Quarterly, automated - Annual domain credit: — ### Growth For businesses that publish, change things often, and depend on the site to bring in work. - Build and launch: from $3,500 - Monthly: $99 per month - Content changes: Unlimited queue, one at a time - Response target: 1 business day - Reporting: Monthly - Annual domain credit: $20/yr ### Commerce For businesses where the site is doing commercial work — booking, selling, or generating serious lead volume. - Build and launch: from $6,000 - Monthly: $299 per month - Content changes: Unlimited queue, one at a time - Response target: 4 business hours - Reporting: Monthly, with notes on what converted - Annual domain credit: $20/yr ### Custom For work that does not fit a plan. Priced against what it actually is. - Build and launch: Quoted - Monthly: $500+ - Content changes: Dedicated hours each month - Response target: Same day, with an escalation path - Reporting: Built around what you need to know - Annual domain credit: Included Change requests from Growth upward work as a queue: send as many as you like, worked through one at a time in the customer's order. There is no monthly allowance of minutes to spend or lose. On Presence, changes are billed hourly or bought in prepaid blocks instead. Domain fees beyond any included credit, business email licences, payment processing, and other third-party charges are billed separately at provider prices and are not marked up. Rebuilds, second sites, complex migrations, bulk content entry, copywriting, and photography are quoted separately before work starts. ## Domains Domain availability search is embedded on doory.net. Visitors continue to the client portal only after choosing to register or transfer. The portal and its connected registrar are the system of record for availability, supported endings, premium classification, eligibility, pricing, checkout, billing, renewals, invoices, and domain management. Doory's registration-data lookup retrieves privacy-filtered public records from authoritative sources. It is not a purchasing authority: a missing, redacted, unsupported, or failed lookup does not prove a domain is available. Domains are registered in the customer's name, with the customer as the listed owner. Doory manages them on the customer's behalf. Customers can leave and take the domain with them, and Doory assists with the transfer out. ## Business email Business email setup is part of the managed service rather than a separate product: mailboxes, aliases, and the authentication records that keep mail out of spam folders. Licences are billed by the provider at their price. Printer repair, home Wi-Fi, employee hardware, office networking, workstation repair, onsite support, and phone systems are all out of scope. ## Things that are true and worth not getting wrong - Doory does not publish a service area and does not claim a geographic location. - There are no testimonials, client counts, logos, or ratings on the site, because there are none that are real yet. - Availability and response targets are operational targets. The signed service agreement is the authority on measurement, exclusions, and any remedy. - Customers retain ownership of their domain, business data, and core accounts. ## Canonical sources https://doory.net/, https://doory.net/websites/, https://doory.net/websites/#pricing, https://doory.net/websites/care/, https://doory.net/domains/, https://doory.net/security/, https://doory.net/switch/, and https://doory.net/blog/.
