Legacy shared hosting
Every website and service dependency tied to a legacy shared hosting account needs a documented destination and completed cutover.
Doory is retiring all legacy shared hosting and WordPress hosting accounts on September 2, 2027. After that date, websites still on the legacy platform will no longer work. You are free to migrate yourself, or send a support request and Doory will migrate the site for you — even if the destination is another hosting provider.
If Doory has identified your account as legacy, migration is required even if the website appears to be working normally today.
Every website and service dependency tied to a legacy shared hosting account needs a documented destination and completed cutover.
Every legacy WordPress account must move to a supported WordPress environment or another supported replacement platform.
Open a Client Portal ticket. Doory can confirm whether the deadline applies and identify the services that require review.
Ask Doory to checkDiscovery can uncover DNS, SSL, databases, forms, mailboxes, scheduled tasks, plugins, or external services that need separate attention. Starting early leaves time to make and test those decisions without rushing the final cutover.
Copying files is not the finish line. The replacement must be reachable, secure, usable, and under the correct account ownership.
For this notice, a legacy account is a shared hosting or WordPress hosting account that Doory has identified for migration away from its current platform. If you are unsure about your account, open a Client Portal ticket and ask Doory to confirm its status.
Not always. The right path depends on the current website, its software, its dependencies, and the supported destination. Some sites can be moved largely as they are; others need updates, repairs, or a rebuild before they can operate safely on the replacement service.
Do not assume it is included. Doory will review the account and confirm the migration scope, responsibilities, schedule, and any applicable cost before work begins. Doory can also migrate the site to another hosting provider if that is the better fit for the website.
A planned migration can reduce disruption, but no blanket zero-downtime promise applies to every legacy account. The plan should identify DNS, email, database, software, and integration dependencies and include testing before the final cutover.
